Pengiun Capital,Oamaru

Oamaru is the penguin capital of New Zealand, due to limited travel time, we only able to spend a night at this penguin town. Hence, we decided to pay a visit to Whitestone Cheese and Penguin Viewing at Bushey Beach Road.

Heading to Oamaru~

In Whitestone Cheese, you can shop for any types of cheese in the shop. In addition, you can also visit its factory which located just behind the shop to see the process of making cheese. Cheese-lover like us will like this place pretty much.

Waiting for our takeaway dinner, fish n' chips:)

Not forgetting to grab our favourite Bluebird Chips wherever we go at NZ...

Our next activity is to see penguin coming back home from the sea at Bushey beach road. But sad to know that we were LATE, 'everyone' were back to their home sweet home when we reach there. :( So, remember to check the correct timing for penguin viewing as it is different for every season.

The last but not not least, we stayed at Olive Grove backpacker house for our night at Oamaru.

Tips: Weather is getting colder down to south of the island, remember to wear enough clothes to keep your body warm.

Here ends our short visit to Oamaru, I hope you enjoy reading this post.

Coming up next, Dunedin :)
